Happy International No Diet Day

Is an annual celebration for body acceptance, including fat acceptance and body shape diversity. Experts talk about the danger of dieting because almost all people regain two-thirds of the weight they lose within five years. They prefer to promote healthy lifestyle.

The first International No Diet Day was celebrated in the UK in 1992 by feminist Mary Evans Young. Feminist groups in other countries around the globe have started to celebrate International No Diet Day, especially in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, Israel, Denmark, Sweden and Brazil.

It’s Earth Day, this is a day to show appreciation and get into new habits if needed. We love doing these little things to help save the Earth!

  1. Go Green, Plant a tree! It will clean the air and growing your own fruits and veggies is a plus.
  2. Walk! Good for your help and less polluting than cars.
  3. Reusable bags. Buy them at your local store or sew them.

On April 22, we celebrate this important date to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First held on 1970, events are coordinated globally by EARTHDAY.ORG in more than 193 countries.

Black Lives Matter Movement

Is a movement that began on July 2013 with the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter on Social Media. The shooting death of Trayvon Martin, the 2014 deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner, since the Ferguson protests demonstrate how people were against the numerous deaths of African Americans.

The Black Lives Matter movement is a decentralized network of activists with no formal hierarchy. In 2020 the movement came back to national headlines with the death of George Floyd.

20th of February is World Day of Social Justice and is a day were we recognize and promote Social Justice with themes such gender equality, poverty, human rights and equality.

“The world is built on kidness” is such a beauty idea in a world also built on violence. But we must encourage good acts to balance. We need to teach empathy to our new young ones.

  • If you see a tourist help him find a street or recommend a good restaurant
  • Pick up some trash from the street and put it on a bin
